{"id":1881,"date":"2022-10-10T12:00:51","date_gmt":"2022-10-10T11:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sej.org.uk\/jun2023\/dec2020\/?p=1881"},"modified":"2023-06-22T10:15:48","modified_gmt":"2023-06-22T09:15:48","slug":"sufqe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sej.org.uk\/AGM2023\/sufqe\/","title":{"rendered":"Stand up for Quality Education"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The EIS launched a new campaign, Stand up for Quality Education, during this year\u2019s AGM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of the campaign is to significantly improve teachers\u2019 working conditions, and health, safety and wellbeing at work and by so doing, the quality of learning experiences for learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Focussing on 3 key priority areas the campaign will call for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Build the skills, resources and school culture to address distressed, violent and aggressive pupil behaviour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An increase in funding and support for pupils with additional support needs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A significant reduction in teacher workload<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Resources are currently being sent out to schools and more information on the campaign will be available via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eis.org.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.eis.org.uk<\/a>  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The EIS launched a new campaign, Stand up for Quality Education, during this year\u2019s AGM.
