job\u2019s not one done just for pay,<br>It\u2019s done for other reasons;<br>It\u2019s done to watch kids grow and learn<br>Across the year\u2019s four seasons;<br>It\u2019s done to build a safety net<br>For kids who sometimes fall;<br>It\u2019s done to try encourage kids<br>Who\u2019ve no time for school at all!<br>Yes, the holidays are great<br>(Yet they always feel required),<br>But money\u2019s not the reason<br>That, for this job, we got inspired!<br>But with life\u2019s cost still increasing, <br>With normal folks being left behind,<br>We\u2019ve got to take a stand now<br>Or we\u2019ll just face further grind,<br>So, with big strikes now a-looming<br>Know it\u2019s not just about the pay;<br>It\u2019s so a workforce can afford to live<br>So they can teach another
