EIS office bearers delivered a birthday card with a shocking green and pink cake on it to the offices of COSLA in Edinburgh on 7th February, the one-year anniversary of the 2022/2023 pay claim.
The cake is one of a number of designs created by Dumfries and Galloway local Exec member Stephen Horne. Stephen, who teaches at Lochmaben and Eastriggs primary schools explained, “I use a suite of Adobe apps on my MacBook. The main ones I use are Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and Adobe Express.”
Stephen’s other creations include a number of graphics, which have now done the rounds on social media and have been viewed by thousands of people, both in this country and abroad. At the height of the campaign one of Stephen’s graphics was viewed 80,000 times.
Dumfries and Galloway treasurer Elaine Dennis said, “We are very appreciative of Stephen’s efforts and his graphics have been invaluable to us over the course of the campaign.”
